About our Classes
Vinyasa Flow, Level 1-2:
A Level 1-2 Vinyasa class. Expect to move with your breath and focus your attention; this well balanced flow class will get you out of your head and into your body and your breath; modifications always welcome.
Vinyasa, All Levels:
Suitable for all levels but those new to yoga should start with Vinyasa Level 1. As you mindfully integrate movement and breath, this Vinyasa class is aimed at the seasoned beginner who has Level 1 experience and intermediate practitioners who are ready to expand their yoga practice. These classes begin to encourage practitioners to explore getting upside-down and may incorporate some arm balances and deeper backbends. We recommend that students seeking to take these classes feel confident, safe, and strong throughout classic sun salutations.
Level 1 is gentle and great for beginners or those who want to slow it down. Traditional Hatha is suitable for all levels. Hatha is a potent alignment-oriented practice that emphasizes the forms and actions within yoga postures. Traditional asanas are held in accurate alignment. Emphasis is placed on core strength, flexibility and balance as well as concentration and breath control. This class is based on physical postures (asanas), deep breathing, mindfulness and listening to the body.
Hatha with Pilates Ball, All Levels:
This is a total body workout! Lifts your seat, tones your thighs & burns fat in record-breaking time. It is a very effective, yet one of the safest way to change your body. This technique protects your joints. The workout launches a full blown attack on the areas of the body that most struggle with: abs, hips, seat and arms. It defies gravity by tapering everything in and lifting it up utilizing the pilates ball.
Yoga Sculpt, All Levels:
When muscle meets yoga, Yoga Sculpt is born. Yoga Sculpt is a unique combination of Vinyasa Yoga and strength training. It is an intense and challenging class designed to strengthen all aspects of a student’s yoga practice: body, mind, and spirit. Hand held weights are added to create resistance and intensify each yoga pose. In Yoga Sculpt you will experience a fun and well-rounded workout that will touch on all aspects of Vinyasa Yoga, strength training, functional movement, cardio and more. The class is for any student looking to strengthen their current yoga and fitness abilities.
Flow & Stretch, All Levels:
Suitable for all levels. A restful, calming class including breathing, gentle flowing movements, passive and supported poses. This is a perfect beginning yoga class that is also appropriate for those working with injury, limited mobility, or who prefer a softer, gentler approach to yoga.
Energizing Flow, All levels:
This morning class is the perfect energizing yoga practice. This is something that is going to wake up and heat the entire body. This yoga practice stretches and strengthens the muscles with a strong focus on breath and body alignment. Set the tone for your day and take some time for yourself to get ready for your busy day with an energizing morning sequence.
Slow Flow, Level 1:
Good choice for beginners or those who love a yummy class. This class is a slower-paced flow class geared towards those new to yoga or preferring a slightly gentler class. Time is spent breaking down sun salutations and other poses fundamental to your practice. Breathwork, props and modifications offered for proper alignment and ease in the postures.
Yin Yoga, All Levels:
Suitable for all levels. Yin Yoga invites you to slow down and create space for stillness while nourishing joints, ligaments, tendons and fascia. Yin is yoga at its coolest, deepest, quietest, stillest moments. This class will have you on the floor most of the time, using as many props needed to create as little effort while holding poses. Poses are held for 2-5 minutes allowing joints and fascia to release. This class will complement your Vinyasa practice and will open and release areas in need of more stretching.
Restorative Yoga, All Levels:
Our bodies have an innate ability to relax given the right circumstances. Restorative yoga uses a series of easy, supported poses held for a long time under the right conditions (including the use of many props) to tip the balance from “fight or flight” mode into maximum relaxation. Yogis developed these poses over many years, but science tells us that, under the conditions set in restorative yoga, immediate effects on heart rate, blood pressure and brain activity are possible. Emphasis on complete muscular relaxation and comfort are emphasized to achieve a quiet state of mind and body.
Movement & Meditation, All Levels:
Class begins with a series of gentle stretches and flows to warm the body progressing into standing poses to improve balance, strength, flexibility and concentration. Ending on the floor with deeper stretching to soothe the nervous system and prepare the body and mind for meditation. The last 20 minutes of class is a guided meditation that will gently relax and restore your spirit.
